About
The Ashstock Present Day.
I mated Ch.Montbell Barbarossa to the only bitch that I had at that
time,
Ashstock Belle Buttons (Ashstock Maxamillion x Ch. Ashstock Black Maria)
This mating produced the famous Ashstock Wild Colonial Boy, 2 C.C.s
and his 2 brothers, Ashstock Albion Torch (3 res. C.C.s) and Ashstock
Jack of Diamonds.
"Oscar", Wild Colonial Boy was tragically killed in a road
accident at 3 years or so.
Out of his very last litter, we bought Aus. Ch. Colonial Force of Ashstock,
(U.K. Junior Warrant winner) and sent him to the Reeders
in Australia, where I believe that he was top stud dog for a number
of years.
Since then, I have bred Ashstock Scarlett Buttons 1C.C. and 1 Res.
C.C.s,
Ashstock Devils Diamond, (Eastaff Talisman X Ashstock Tartan Express)
is the dam of our new pup introduced into the show ring with some success.
Our overseas Champions and those carrying the Ashstock prefix, include,
Aus. Ch. Ashstock. Mad Hatter, Aus. Ch.Colonial Force of Ashstock.,
Aus Ch. Ashstock. Old Hat,
S.A. Ch. Ashstock. Pearl Buttons, S.A. Ch. Simba of Ashstock. Dutch
Ch. Pearl Barley of Ashstock.
Ashstock blood appears in the stock of many well known
and successful breeders in the U.K. and overseas, and we have always
strived to breed sound, typey with superb temperament, standard Staffordshire
Bull Terriers, for the last 35 years
My judging experience is as follows, I first awarded C.C.s in 1972,
and since then I have judged 23 further C.C. Shows including Crufts
Dog Show in 1980
I have judged in Australia 4 times, South Africa 4 times, Germany 4
times, U.S.A.,
Israel, Holland twice, Finland, Southern Ireland 4 times, Belgium and
New Zealand 4 times and I also have the honour of Judging the Spanish
SBT Ch. Show (their first ever Ch. Show 2002).
I was the Secretary of the Southern Counties S.B.T.S. for a number
of years, and the Editor of the Stafford Magazine for 2 separate terms,
and served on their committee over a period of 30 years, and a continous
member of that Society since 1962.
I was elected Life Vice President of the S.C.S.B.T.S., about 10 years
ago, and also elected as a Life Vice President by the East Anglian S.B.T.C.,
where I have served as a Committee member for a number of years.
I have also the honour of being elected as a Patron of the New South
Wales S.B.T.C. for several years.
In 1993 I was elected Chairman of the S.B.T. Breed Council of Great
Britain and Northern Ireland.
I am currently campaigning my young hopeful Ashstock By Jupiter who
has made a wonderful start to his show career with 9 firsts in his 8
shows.
